Jim Sincock is a fine art photographer who focuses on landscape and nature photography, as well as fine art still life photography. He use both traditional film and digital, and has recently been working in gelatin dry plate and wet plate collodion.
With his landscape photography, he seeks to provide unique views of wild and natural places in Colorado the American West, and where ever his travels take him. His still life photography is a conversation between camera, light and subject. Juxtaposed objects create their own stories.
Jim studied Fine Art Photography at Milwaukee Center for Photography, and later, the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.
From 1989-2000, Jim ran his own commercial photo studio, first in Milwaukee, and later in Boulder, Colorado. As the industry changed, his focus shifted to graphic & web design.
Jim’s visions have constantly evolved over the years. While always having a passion for landscape photography, from 1995-2007 much of his focus was on creating surreal dreamlike photo illustrations.
