Quieting the Mind is a series of three landscape photos which were created as a part of my Quiet Places series for the Fellowship I received from the Racine Art Museum. The scenes of Lake Michigan were photographed digitally, then converted to black and white and printed to handmade Nepalese paper using archival Carbon pigment inks. The back of the prints were painted with silver pigment, and the fronts were coated with shellac, and then float mounted into a handmade shadow box style frame.
